Hi, I’m Eric, artist, and founder of Second Realm that hails from the Land of Pizza and Bagels, New Jersey.
I’ve been building a passionate community of artists, collectors, supporters, and patrons of crypto art and NFTs since 2019. But I recently took time to evaluate my impact on the NFT landscape.
What follows is quantifiable data that I collected in an attempt to record what I’ve accomplished over the last two years. I won’t know exactly what these numbers mean until next year when I can measure them against each other. But based on what I’ve seen so far, I’m even more bullish on myself.
However, as I learned from the survey, there are some areas that I could be better on. And I’ve already started to address them.

NFT Customer Experience
I spent my career leading Customer Experience, Service Design, and Organizational Change efforts at tech companies. And I’ve been curious how my NFT business, which works at the intersection of art and tech, would compare to industry benchmark scores like NPS and CSAT. After sending out a survey to members of the NFT world, it seems quite clear that my customer-focused efforts are being noticed.
72 NPS Score
The tech industry Net Promoter Score benchmark is 60 (i.e., Apple’s is 89). Above 80 is considered world-class. At 72, I’m so close!
85 CSAT Score
The current overall U.S. Customer Satisfaction Score benchmark is 74.4. At 85 we’re 10.6 pts above the benchmark. That’s fantastic!

NFT Market Creator
In February 2021 I tweeted out my custom punk which sent me down one of the most amazing NFT rabbit holes I’ve ever been down – my first avatar project, Unofficial Punks. And I am confident in saying, as a result, I ignited the alt-punks movement which led to the NFT avatar renaissance.
The Community
Affectionatly called, The Punkverse, this community grew into an organic social movement and now there are over 150 sub-genres and 7000 Certified Unofficial Punks.
The Result
We developed a dynamic artist-led micro-economy, and became the bridge between the OG collectible projects (i.e., CryptoPunks, Avastars, etc.) and the new avatar renaissance projects (i.e., Bored Ape Yacht Club, Cool Cats, etc.).
The all-time trading volume for the collective Punkverse is 5.5K ETH (~$17.1M) as of August 13, 2021. For perspective, this makes us a top 50 NFT project all-time for all categories on OpenSea.
